Bingo – Come play Bingo at the Mizell. Our games include 10 regular bingo games along with special games that include an Early Bird Game, Triple Bingo, Double Action, Odd Coverall, and Even Coverall. Cash prizes and free gift certificates are provided to winners.

Board Games – Come learn to play two new games: Rummikub and Up Word. Rummikub is similar to Gin Rummie but played with tiles on a table. Up Word is a game similar to Scrabble. The difference is in Scrabble all words are limited to a single letter high, whereas Up Word words can be built up to five letters high. If these games don’t interest you, bring your own from home.

ACBL Duplicate Bridge – On Tuesdays there is a friendly,open, game of duplicate bridge for all players. On Fridays, it is also an open game. Both games are sponsored by The Duncan Bridge Center.

Party Bridge – Come and play bridge with your friends and meet new ones. This is a friendly game of party bridge. Participants are asked to put 50¢ in the kitty for prize money each week.
Mondays and Thursdays: 1:00pm – 3:30pm

Beginning Bridge - Have you always wanted to learn to play bridge? Have you not played bridge in several years and would like to learn the style of bidding used in the 21st Century? Instructor Gary Delestine, has an 8 week class to get you there. Students will learn the fundamentals of the exciting game of bridge. There will be a simplified and an in-depth approach to each lesson and each class will include playing time on practice play boards that will illustrate the topics being covered. Each student will need to purchase the book, Bridge Basic 1 by Audrey Grant from the instructor at the first class for $10 Mondays: March 11th - April 15th 9:00am – 11:00am
$80 for members/$29th for non-members
Intermediate Bridge - This is a continuation of Gary’s Beginning Bridge Class. If you were not in that class you may call Gary (only in the morning) at 760-567-4538 or email him at hollihut@comcast.net to see if you have the skills necessary to fit in the class. This class will teach intermediate conventions as well as defense strategies. There will be a simplified and an in-depth approach to each of these conventions and each class will include playing time on practice play boards that will illustrate the topics being covered. Students who take this class will be encouraged to come to the Supervised Bridge Play on Tuesdays (8:30 to 11:00) to practice what they are learning. (There will be no additional charge for this.) Class on Hiatus Wednesdays 9:00am – 11:00am

Mah Jongg Lessons and Guided Play - Have you always wanted to learn to play the game of Mah Jongg? Now is your chance. Pauline Freidan, a player with 55 years experience, will teach you the joys of the game. The class will include the history and concept of the game along with methods of forming winning hands, playing to win, aggressive play and defensive play. There will also be instructive guidance each week during play.

Mexican Train Dominoes -Come learn a new board game and make new friends. Wednesdays: 12:30pm – 3:30pm Free for Members/ $5 for non -Members

Pinochle – Come join us on Wednesday afternoons to play pinochle. This is a great way to see old friends and make new ones.

Wii Bowling – Beat the heat and stay cool with Will Bowling. This program is free. There will be refreshments and fun along with prizes for the top cumulative scores. Sign up today! The top four bowlers will represent the Mizell Center on Friday, August 17th at the Coachella Valley Senior Bowling Tournament held at the Josyln Center.
Please note if you have a pacemaker, you will not be able to participate in this activity.
