Music and Arts
Mizell Senior Center offers a variety of Music and Arts Programs. Our popular Wednesday Jam Sessions feature musicians both locally and from around the globe. It is a true Jam Session, so if you play an instrument, even if it has been a while, stop by and start Jammin’. Jam Sessions are every Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM to Noon. Many just stop by to listen to this great group of musicians. Don’t miss it ….. our Jam Session is a must see in Palm Springs.
On Friday’s, we feature Gordon Parr and the Dixiecats at 10:00 AM and Frank Jordan’s Compact Big Band at 12:30 PM. The Dixiecats play through June and Frank Jordan’s Big Compact Band play through May. Both groups start again after Labor Day.
Wednesday, May 23rd
The Mizell Center and International Classical Concerts presents Christine Hye-Su-Kim in a Piano Recital. Please join your friends at the Mizell Center for an afternoon Piano Recital by one of this country’s upcoming pianist. This is a free concert presented by the International Classical Concerts.

If you are artistically inclined, our Pastel Art Studio meets every Friday at 9:00 AM. All skill levels are encouraged to join and we even feature some of the artwork of class participants in the Noia Auditorium.
Our Knitting Circle meets every Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 PM. Whether you are a knitter or have always wanted to learn, you can join this delightful group of
knitters every Wednesday for tips, teaching and lively conversation. This group
is free to members and $5 for guests. Those who crochet and do needlepoint are
also welcome to join.
