    About Mizell

Mizell Senior Center has been serving the greater Palm Springs area for over 36 years, and is the community focal point on healthy and active aging.  This is a place where Active Seniors come together for service and activity which enhances dignity, supports independence, and encourages involvement in and with the community.  Take a look at our new video that highlights some of our programs and services:

Programs support individuals in all phases of the aging process and promote healthy aging, wellness, and community participation.  The mission of the Mizell Senior Center is to enhance the lives and welfare of adults who live in or visit our community. Programs and services at Mizell Senior Center are designed to meet the needs of low income seniors and to provide opportunities to combat loneliness, isolation, and maintain active productive lives.  Loneliness, isolation, and depression know no economic boundaries. We have over 50,000 visits each year from individuals taking part in our activities and programs.

Specific programs include Meals On Wheels, exercise and fall prevention programs, congregate meals on and off site, counseling, health checks, and a variety of social and recreational programs to increase socialization.  Our annual flu shot program provides low cost flu vaccinations to nearly 400 high risk seniors in partnership with Desert Regional Hospital.
